Meta QA Manager - Twisted Pixel Games in Des Moines, Iowa

Summary:

Twisted Pixel Games, an Oculus Game Studio, is seeking a QA Manager who will be accountable for driving the day-to-day execution of our QA program and communication with our QA vendors/team, while advocating for a high-quality bar on the project. As QA Manager, you will continue to drive improvements in game testing processes, and report on our project metrics to measure our success.To be successful, in addition to being a manager, craft expert, and individual contributor, the QA Manager will be expected to get organizational buy-in across multiple levels. Required Skills:

QA Manager - Twisted Pixel Games Responsibilities:

  1. Directly manage a team with diverse backgrounds supporting QA development

  2. Plan, organize and manage all QA programs, processes and activities

  3. Define quality procedures in conjunction with development team

  4. Ensure that QA processes and procedures are in place for all activities and that procedures are followed

  5. Participate in analyzing root causes of problems found and assist in developing countermeasures to remove the causes

  6. Lead onsite and offsite staff in executing tests and checks

  7. Evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of QA methods and procedures used and undertake improvement projects when needed

  8. Communicate to partners and stakeholders on quality performance trends, current status and action plans

  9. Establish and grow KPIs through expanding metrics to reflect quality indicators

  10. Establish QA Automation practice (guidance and mentoring regarding tools)

  11. Develop and grow quality assurance talent through effective recruitment, career development, and continuous improvement initiatives

  12. Model inclusive behaviors to help build and support a diverse organization that values, respects, and taps into different backgrounds and perspectives

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 5+ years QA Management experience working on Console/PC or VR games

  2. 2+ years experience leading a team in the day-to-day (1 complete development cycle as QA Manager/Lead)

  3. Experience working with outsource partners and managing offshore vendor teams

  4. Knowledge of QA methodologies that cover regression testing, ad hoc testing, functional testing, user interface testing, and integration testing

  5. Experience in reviewing requirements and creating test plans with automation in mind

  6. Experience working with Project Directors and supply key facts and metrics

  7. Experienced working independently and proactively

  8. Proven communication skills

  9. Working experience of test management tools, dashboards and reporting e.g. JIRA, TestRail, or similar

  10. Experienced reporting skills i.e. Future Planning, QA Velocity, QA Progress

Public Compensation:

$106,000/year to $150,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
