SOURCE HOV Quality Assurance Specialist in DES MOINES, Iowa
Job SummaryDevelop and implement long-term quality strategy. Identifies quality gaps, implements reporting processes in order to track quality improvements, enhance current systems, define and prioritize high-value quality projects and manages projects to completion.Essential Functions and Responsibilities* Defining and establishing the overall quality strategy and approaching to determine, investigate, and resolve data quality issues.* Utilizing profiling, quality tools and various data sources in order to determine causes of quality issues.* Establishing an on-going process to maintain quality data and defining quality audit processes.* Identifying and leveraging opportunities to improve the quality management processes, systems, and standards.* Training and articulating the other departmental professionals regarding the benefits and need for quality checking.* Working closely with clients and internal business units to resolve any quality issues.* Recommending modifications and changes, if any, to the appropriate departments.* Training other quality inspectors and assessing their work performance.* Acts in accordance with the organization's information security HR and corporate policies.* Protects assets from unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, destruction or interference.* Reports security events or potential events or other security risks to the organization.* Other tasks duties and responsibilities as assigned.Key Skills* Persuasive communication skills necessary to collect essential information, answer questions, and direct callers to appropriate personnel in a professional and courteous manner.* Developed interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, other business areas and government agencies as required.* Planning and organizational skills necessary to coordinate workload around complex, multiple assignments.* Intermediate knowledge of computerized applications, for example, word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software.Minimum Qualifications* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Quality Control or Quality Assurance.* 2 years' experience in any quality administration related activitiesAdditional Desired Qualifications* NoneRisk designated for this role* Applicable security roles and responsibilities*Physical RequirementsPhysical demands with activity or condition requiring a considerable amount of time include sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer (i.e., keyboard, mouse, and monitor) or adding machine.
