SUMMARY

The Recognition Specialist (RS) will support the strategy, development, implementation and evaluation of current and future recognition strategy across the Bon Secours Mercy Health ministry. The Recognition programs and services the RS will be assist with includes but is not limited to platform management, performance recognition programs, awards, patient to associate recognition development and role appreciation. The RS will support scalable and impactful programming, demonstrate subject matter expertise, deliver creative and effective communications and share success metrics.

*Remote, but must work eastern time zone hours.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Partner on recognition program implementation including but not limited to role appreciation, recognition best practice programming, platform management, activation and awards using data to help to focus and tailor programming where modifiable risk factors exist and can help to better target interventions.

  • Assist with implementation, evaluation and refinement of recognition programs and services through collaboration and innovation with internal and external partners.

  • Contribute to delivering important messages, timely and strategic dashboards and other content to demonstrate program effectiveness to key BSMH stakeholders regarding recognition and other related programs.

  • Support creative, effective messaging that activates associates and leaders to take part in programming including tailoring communications to prompt specific call to action.

  • Provide excellent customer service regarding day-to-day recognition program questions and escalated issues, including the prompt research and resolution of those issues with vendors.

  • Engage and maintain a grassroots network of recognition champions to ensure the associate experience of programs is well-received and needs and interests are met.

  • Maintain relationships with external vendors and internal partners on a day-to-day basis ensuring process and procedure aligns to overall goals.

  • Ensure fidelity to recognition policies, processes, practices and programming across the Bon Secours Mercy Health ministry.

  • Represent the various benefits offered through the Bon Secours Mercy Health Total Rewards strategy to BSMH leaders.

  • Maintain awareness of industry trends, as well as regulatory environment, requirements and changes to ensure benefit delivery and reporting compliance and ensures compliance, as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • Bachelors required

  • Field of Study - Human Resources, Health Administration, Health Promotion, organizational leadership or Education or related field

  • Masters preferred

  • Field of Study - Human Resources, Public health, organizational leadership or related field

Licensure/Certification:

  • Certified Recognition Specialist (CRP) preferred

Experience:

  • 0-2 years of recognition experience required

  • 3-5 years of recognition experience preferred

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Periods of high stress and fluctuating workloads may occur.

  • Long-distance or air travel as needed- not to exceed 10% travel.

  • General office environment.

  • May have periods of constant interruptions.

  • Required to car travel to off-site locations, occasionally in adverse weather conditions.

  • Hybrid - Required to report onsite for some of your time. Required to report to a work location at least 40% or more onsite,

  • Remote - Rarely required to report to a work location In-person collaboration maybe required when necessary. Associates may live anywhere but recommend in the footprint when possible.
