ARAG North America Regional Client Manager in Des Moines, Iowa

ARAG is hiring a Regional Client Manager! This person will build new relationships and strengthen existing partnerships within a large client portfolio. The ability to develop and execute a strategic plan while prioritizing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment is required.

  • Build and strengthen relationships with contacts within large client portfolio.

  • Manage communications between ARAG and client portfolio.

  • Manage and maintain day-to-day relationships with client contacts and broker/consultant and actively solve problems with client.

  • Conduct client video, web or teleconferences to review overall performance and clients benefit strategies.

  • Develop strategic plan to increase revenue within client portfolio.

  • Create strategy around product up-sell, renewal, and annual review activities that will optimize revenue results.

  • Partner collaboratively with the internal and external staff to manage the implementation strategy and communication process.

  • Serves as supporting role for Sr. Client Manager on National Account activities.

  • Partner with Senior Client Manager to provide day to day administration of client portfolio for 4,000 life groups and up.

  • Serve as primary contact in the event that the Sr. Client Manager is traveling, on vacation or away from the office.

  • Work cross-functionally with ARAG managers and other associates to implement client plans.

  • Manage day-to-day activities for large volume client portfolio and fulfill requests.

  • Coordinate internal communications regarding clients. Provide support to other internal areas on client requests.

  • Ensure client data is accurate and maintained effectively within all internal systems.

  • Ensure all contractual requirements are being met.

  • Serves as a positive role model by representing the ARAG values.

  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Specific knowledge of client management and relationship building is required. Working knowledge of insurance products and/or employee benefits is preferred.


  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including strong presentation and public speaking skills.

  • Highly organized and detail oriented. Results oriented with the ability to self-motivate.

  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting as well as in a team-based collaborative environment.

  • Strong ability in project management and computer skills such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Possess strong customer service skills.

  • Sales skills including negotiating and influencing results, providing consultative services, problem solving and conflict resolution.

  • Ability to develop innovative ideas and solutions.


  • Four-year college degree in business, marketing or communications from an accredited college or university and/or related work-experience required.


  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the field of sales and/or client management required. Legal services experience and/or employee benefits experience preferred.

  • At least 10% travel required throughout the year as deemed necessary and appropriate by client.
