Catalyst Technologies (CT) is a market leader in the syngas value chain. It develops and supplies high-value, specialty process technology and catalysts for chemicals and fuels processing to enable our customers to operate efficiently, profitably and sustainably. With CT at the forefront of the transition to sustainable chemicals and fuels, the transition to net zero is creating exciting new opportunities in this sector.

Regional Key Account Managers are accountable for developing the customer strategy and delivering demonstrable value to Key Accounts specifically allocated.

Your responsibilities:

  • Developing and driving the strategy for allocated Key Account aimed at delivering long-term value proposition for JM and the customer

  • Monitoring and growing revenue and profitability for allocated Key Account in region

  • Delivering accurate forecasts of customer requirements, and implementing these on time and in full, whilst collaborating with all relevant internal functions

  • Support the Global Key Account Manager in managing and delivering Long Term Supply Agreement with allocated Key Account including transactions, incentive plan, pricing & contract negotiations aligned to Sector governance

  • Managing cross-functional interface and communications with Key Account to ensure consistency of information flow

  • Providing technical and product advice to customers which will drive their project and investment plans, improve efficiency and performance of their production assets and processes, and bring value to JM and customers

  • Building and maintaining effective partnerships with stakeholders of Key Account in an ethical and safe manner

  • Coordinating with Technical Service to ensure superior product performance

  • Developing opportunities for the introduction of new products to Key Accounts

  • Coordinating with other Regional Key Account Managers to ensure consistent messaging and customer service

  • Gathering commercial and market insights and sharing these with the Catalyst Technologies’ Industries and Markets team to better understand current and future customer requirement

  • Collaborating with other parts of JM to better understand and deliver current and future customer requirements which drives value to the wider Group and the customer

  • Ensuring all activities are undertaken in accordance with JM code of ethics and EHS policy and principles

  • Managing the sales process for customers from quotation through negotiation to closing profitable sales deals

  • Delivering sales, gross margin, and customer contribution for the sales territory

  • Sharing customer and market insights with relevant Catalyst Technologies teams to better understand market requirements and improve JM offering

  • Customer complaints to be resolved and closed out in as minimal time as possible

  • Carrying out any other duties which are within the employee’s skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed

Requirements for the role:

  • Degree most likely to be in a scientific/technical discipline

  • Knowledge and experience developing account plans based on customer segmentation and value proposition

  • Proven experience of networking and relationship management with customers at a senior level

  • Understanding the chemicals market place

  • Experience coordinating and influencing global account teams

  • Experience managing multiple projects of live and potential customers
