Job Summary

About the Career:Using the CoE process, the Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Engineer II will be responsible for the day-to-day system administration, support of RPA information technology disciplines and practices to ensure the operations, confidentiality, integrity and availability of information assets in accordance with established standards and procedures. You will manage and troubleshoot multiple robotic solutions in support of Wellmark's systems. In addition, you will provide tactical troubleshooting and resolution of system incidents and problems while collaborating with application delivery, infrastructure and other business partners.

Minimum Qualifications Required (all must be met to be considered)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, MIS, Engineering, or related fields or direct and applicable work experience.

  • 5+ years’ experience to include any combination of the following:

  • Experience in support, installation, configuration and administration of software systems.

  • Experience across the SDLC, including requirements, design, development, testing, documentation, training, deployment, operations, support and maintenance

  • Experience and knowledge of the following: IT concepts, strategies and methodologies; including backlog tracking, burndown metrics, and incremental delivery. Reacting quickly and taking steps to efficiently and effectively troubleshoot issues

  • Strong understanding of UML, BPMN, or technical design documents relevant to process modeling and design

  • Working knowledge of concepts such as http/https, ports, DNS, active directory etc.

  • Strong knowledge of layered systems architectures and layered solutions and designs; understanding of shared software concepts

  • Proven consultation skills; including the ability to understand and apply solution requirements, including drawing out unforeseen implications and making recommendations for design, the ability to define design reasoning, understanding potential impacts of design requirements

  • Proven collaboration, prioritization, and adaptability skills. Ability to work well with business unit SME’s, Business Analysts, vendors, and end users in cross-functional teams

  • Must be an adaptable self-starter and work with minimal supervision. Must be able to juggle multiple projects and organize time effectively

Hiring Specifications Preferred

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Prior RPA development experience or certifications in RPA software tools (e.g., UiPath, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere) highly preferred

  • Experience with scripting languages (python, perl, powershell, bash, vbs, etc.) preferred

  • Experience with BPM workflow platforms highly preferred

  • Familiarity, certifications, and/or experience with BI/data analytics techniques and tools highly preferred

Job Accountabilities

a. Responsible for day-today RPA administration and coordination of troubleshooting activities including technical guidance of system implementations and upgrades.b. Monitor automation resource availability, performance and capacity, and advise leadership of overall system health. Provide tactical troubleshooting and resolution of system incidents and problems while collaborating with application delivery, cloud services and business partners.c. Following the change management process, will respond to release and customer inquiries. Become wellversed with common/reoccurring requests or system inquiries, and provide immediate solutions and status updates.d. Coordinate and participate in functional business testing of automation resources. Will assist in issue identification, root cause analysis and resolution, and change control.e. Evaluate changes to determine the risk to current technical environment to determine and recommend the most effective implementation strategy. Ensure the test strategy and test plans adequately cover the requirements support the planning and execution of testing. Monitor system release schedules for internal application to identify changes that would affect automation resources.f. Will assist with research, evaluation, and selection of technology solutions that are compliant with Wellmark's adopted standards allowing integration into the existing environments with minimal impact to users.g. Serve as an automation administrator/developer resource for other RPA staff. Provide training and mentorship of others regarding RPA development and solution implementation. As needed, will engage in development activities to support enhancements and maintenance of application systems or project investments.h. Collaborate with cloud services and information security to ensure that regulatory and security requirements are maintained.i. Create artifacts as defined in the RPA Playbook and Policy document to meet the defined requirements. Maintain documentation and design papers defining implementation, systems administration, system management, testing, problem escalation and maintenance.j. Contributes ideas to improve RPA deployment processes and implementing change requirements as part of a structured change control process. Attain and leverage technical expertise of current and emerging technologies, as well as exhibiting a practical development and design skillset.k. Support disaster recovery and business continuity efforts and plans in the event of a disaster. Ensure minimal impacts to users during implementation and post maintenance activities.l.
