Group O Sales Representative in Des Moines, Iowa

Group O is searching for a Sales Representative in the Omaha, NE or Des Moines, IA area to join our growing team! The Sales Representative is responsible for account management of a defined set of accounts within the Western Iowa territory and surrounding areas and will be empowered to increase sales with new and existing customers.

  • Participating in customer requests for quotes and proposals

  • Gathering and communicating requirements and specifications

  • Participating in pricing

  • Presenting quotes and proposals

  • Participating in order management

  • Receiving orders and relaying them to operations

  • Monitoring order fulfillment

  • Monitoring invoicing

  • Monitoring and reporting on customer satisfaction

  • Finding and supporting opportunities for improved performance, cost-savings and efficiency

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, Packaging Sciences Degree or equivalent experience

Skills:

  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds

  • Ability to sit or stand for an extended period of time

  • Valid drivers license

  • Flexibility in daily hours worked based on workloads

  • Ability to travel (overnight)

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of services and products:

  • Secondary/tertiary packaging materials

  • Packaging equipment systems

  • Packaging manufacturer product lines

  • Distribution network services

  • Previous experience in sales, account management or customer support

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Basic user abilities in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Ability to present information to managers, clients, suppliers and peers

  • Problem solving ability
