Overview of Job Function:
The Sales Representative is responsible for managing quoting, services, design and selling Verint software products and services, to our new customers. Sales Representative will interact directly with new XM Business Unit prospects and channel partners to provide technical validation to ensure feasibility and accuracy of the quote. This position is under the general supervision of the Sales Manager, and is responsible for prospecting, qualifying, service/software scoping, accurate forecasting and closing sales.
Principal Duties and Essential Responsibilities:
Promote and market business through extensive and persistent cold calling, emails and communications) to prospective clients.
Qualify prospective clients and schedule Initial Prospect Meetings (IPM) and Initial Upsell Meetings (IUM) for Sales Team.
Research, evaluate, and develop prospective client leads from multiple sources including, but not limited to, current sales database contacts, inbound inquiries, and web or other research channels.
Help as needed to build awareness on special projects / marketing events by identifying and securing prospective client attendance and involvement.
Maintain all contacts/opportunities and record all progress in Salesforce.com.
Engage directly with prospects and channel partners to qualify technical and business needs for each software or services opportunity.
Understand customer procurement process to ensure forecasting accuracy in Salesforce.com.
Maintain accurate forecast/pipeline and up to date account information in Salesforce.com.
Qualify scope and develop custom and standard service pricing for each customer/channel opportunity based on pre-sale configuration and requirements.
Keep Manager up to date on status of business through weekly review calls and forecasting reports.
Apply the principles of solution selling, discovery, propose and sell appropriate product and service solutions, manage the sales process through to close for assigned software and service transactions.
Develop and maintain knowledge of Verint’s positioning, products, functionality, ROI.
Determine appropriate licensing/services options; negotiate pricing, terms and conditions within established guidelines, using management as appropriate.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
Up to Three (3) years of sales experience and success in selling long sales cycle enterprise software and/or services.
Must be able to effectively prospect and identify business opportunities, conduct needs analysis and present and close solutions sales to targeted accounts.
Proven ability to capture business requirements and price accurately. Clear understanding of a service solution with the ability to articulate how and why the solution was priced out.
Effective and professional presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal are required with the ability to penetrate and establish relationships with customers
Possess strong negotiation and closing skills with the proven ability to qualify prospects from both an operational and financial standpoint
Excellent interpersonal and conflict management skills; able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Persistent and dependable, especially with attendance and meeting deadlines; able to manage multiple competing priorities.
Working knowledge of a CRM software (i.e. Oracle, Sales Force.com)
Good decision making and problem-solving skills – ability to make sound judgments and decisions.
Self-motivated; takes direction well.
Proficient in the use of standard business systems: MSOffice, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint,
This position requires travel 20% of the time.
Successful completion of a background screening process including, but not limited to, employment verifications, criminal search, OFAC, SS Verification, as well as credit and drug screening, where applicable and in accordance with federal and local regulations
The ability to obtain the necessary credit line required to travel
1-3 Years scoping and pricing professional services projects.
Application software or contact center related sales a plus
Working knowledge of CRM systems a plus.
Working knowledge of Verint product suite a plus.
Ability to do on-site customer solution discoveries and able to articulate Verint’s software and service proposals with both written and verbal presentations.
