KPMG is currently seeking a Sr. Associate, IT Portfolio Analysis to join our Digital Nexus Technology organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate governance and management of the demand pipeline; capture new demand and ensure structured and high quality of demand's scope and specification to have a consistent basis for estimation and scheduling of the implementation

  • Provide financial planning and analysis support to the annual planning process, inclusive of aggregating and analyzing project-level financial plans, sanitizing the annual planning data, and establishing financial and capacity constraints

  • Accountable for financial planning and analysis support to the cyclical program/portfolio balancing process; work with program owners/managers and project managers to ensure project financials are properly reflected within their respective portfolios and programs

  • Ensure that project, program and portfolio budgets and forecasts remain in alignment with PPMO and F&A methodologies

  • Administer active budgeting and forecasting consultation and mentoring to the project/program management community to ensure adoption of and alignment to PPMO policies, standards, and best practices

  • Design a series of portfolio financial data extracts, reports, and dashboards for distribution to the portfolio/project management community and key stakeholders; analyze portfolio financial results, variances and trends and provide associated narratives to explain research findings; Project and portfolio financial management experience and related activities

Qualifications:

  • Minimum three years of recent hands-on experience with Demand, Portfolio, Program and Project Management tools and information systems

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred

  • Basic understanding of PMI's Project and Program Management methodology (PMBOK), as well as governance and quality management programs and methodologies (such as Lean Six Sigma, ITIL, and COBIT)

  • Advanced level knowledge of Excel, SharePoint, and Access, or comparable database applications; experience with best-in-class PPM tools such as Planview and ServiceNow

  • Strong verbal/written communication, problem solving, analytical and independent judgment skills to support an environment driven by customer service and teamwork; ability to positively influence, mentor and be a credible source of knowledge to less experienced team members
