What Success in the Role Looks Like at The Waldinger Corporation

The Senior Compensation Analyst researches, implements and oversees organizational pay structures. The successful Senior Compensation Analyst explores and evaluates job positions and requirements, aligning pay ranges and internal equity, ensuring market competitiveness. Working under the Total Rewards umbrella, the Senior Compensation Analyst applies business and financial acumen, strong data literacy, qualitative and quantitative research methods, as well as knowledge of HR policies and benefits. Exercises strong communication, organization and time management skills.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Job Descriptions-Prepares job descriptions by surveying employees and managers to gather necessary information to build a draft for review by JDRC committee. Determines classification and assigns pay grade. Maintains job descriptions in centralized database. Ensures descriptions accurately reflect work being performed by incumbents.
  • Pay Market Analysis-Reviews market data annually to determine and make recommendations for adjustments. Assesses job descriptions and pay grades against incumbent pay rates to determine areas of opportunity such as pay inequity, pay compression, or high pay range penetration.
  • Total Rewards Analysis and Support-Researches employee benefits in similar industries; based on findings, recommends changes or updates to the companys existing benefits or policies. Supports the evaluation of competitive, cost-effective benefits packages for the organization. Facilities implementation and enrollment for insurance and retirement plans. Supports incentive program management as needed.
  • Reporting-Prepares and presents summary reports of job analysis and compensation analysis information.
  • HR Law and Policies-Advises management on applicable state and federal employment regulations, benefits and compensation policies, and HR procedures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in human resources or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years experience in compensation analysis or program management
  • Strong analytical ability and attention to detail
