The Office of the CTO/Software and Advanced Technology Group (OCTO-SATG) at Intel defines, develops, and new strategic technologies to fuel the industry-shaping disruptions like AI.
This is a role with significant cross-Intel impact and visibility, and needs to be recognized as an expert and a trustworthy advisor in AI by senior management, senior technical leaders across multiple organizations and respected by peers, and tremendous opportunity to define Intel's future AI Software direction, drive cross company and industry initiatives. The successful candidate will define AI software strategy across a range of fast-moving domains and product lines while working with business and technical leaders in each of intel's engineering and business units.
Responsibilities:
Lead and define AI Software Strategy for the company and be the CTO's delegate to the AI Strategy and Execution forums with a scope of owning the software strategy swimlane
Plan and set annual and quarterly goals, and provide monthly updates to executive leadership
Initiate new AI software initiatives and technology pathfinding as needed per strategy, and harmonize efforts across corporation. Develop technology and business strategies with technical software expertise at all layers of AI software stack. Work with key stakeholders to define, document and continuously refine Intel AI software strategy
Review existing directions, recommend and decide on improvements required to align with strategy of consistent AI foundation
Provide input/advice as needed to new inorganic opportunities/initiatives in the field of AI software.
Stay up to date on new AI innovations and trends in AI software, through both market and customer engagements and tracking, and commissioning more structured sensing project as required.
Lead with high EQ and stakeholder management skills, and bring disparate viewpoints towards common goals
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Masters in CS/EE with 14+ years' experience or Bachelors with 16+ years' experience
Minimum of 5 years industry experience in AI
Deep and broad technical software expertise at multiple layers of AI software stack.
Proven track record of taking ownership and driving strategy, technology directions and innovations into products
Proven experience working with customers
Proven track record of working with and influencing across broad set of stakeholders and with executives
Highly Technically savvy across broad spectrum of software and architecture with prior hands-on experience, technology details, and be comfortable driving discussions with other technologists and BUs
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with engineers, customers and executives alike
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience driving a technology agenda and/or cross-group strategic initiatives successfully
Prior experience participating in and shaping direction with customers and external partners
Prior experience creating and driving technology roadmaps
Prior experience defining and working with industry partners on emerging standards

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Washington, California: $250,500.00-$400,780.00
*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience
Working Model
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
