Overview:

The Sustainability Reporting Manager will lead Wabtec’s sustainability reporting strategy and effort, collaborating with internal colleagues across all functions and businesses. The person who is in this role will work with internal teams and external stakeholders to advance Wabtec’s sustainability goals and priorities, delivering external sustainability reports, responding to key customer requests, and managing data related to sustainability performance and disclosures.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of Wabtec’s annual sustainability report as well as other relevant disclosures, such as CDP, in alignment with frameworks such as the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), and UN Global Compact (UNGC).

  • Coordinate with internal teams to answer sustainability questions from external questionnaires.

  • Manage the collection, compilation, and verification of data related to sustainability performance and disclosure requests.

  • Develop internal and external summary documents and presentations to communicate internal sustainability performance.

  • Refresh Wabtec’s disclosure strategy to identify new disclosures and ensure the company is optimizing effort with stakeholder impact from those disclosures.

  • Support maintaining internal and external sustainability websites with up-to-date information.

  • Coordinate periodic materiality assessments, along with a third-party provider, to identify the most important areas for Wabtec’s sustainability strategy.

  • Support sustainability risk assessments and risk disclosures, in alignment with the Task Force for Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD)

  • Manage and maintain relationships with external sustainability groups such as CDP and UNGC.

  • Lead and support other sustainability projects, as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in developing sustainability disclosures in accordance with recognized frameworks (e.g., CDP, SASB, UNGC, GRI, TCFD) or familiarity with Wabtec sustainability initiatives

  • Familiarity with sustainability topics and trends. Familiarity with current and upcoming regulatory requirements related to sustainability reporting preferred.

  • Demonstrated understanding of GHG emissions accounting, including Scope 3.

  • Experience with science-based targets and GHG reduction strategies

  • Knowledge of sustainability ratings and rankings, such as CDP, Ecovadis, MSCI, and ISS.

  • Excellent organizational skills and analytical ability.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects from development to implementation.

  • Commitment to process improvement.

  • Experience with data analysis and benchmarking, including interpreting results using presentations to cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to work with multiple teams globally.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and a positive energy.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a sustainability, engineering, or environmental field.

  • 5+ years of experience in sustainability programs and disclosures with manufacturing companies required.

This role can be performed remotely anywhere within the United States.

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The salary range for this role is between $96,100-$177,800. The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role is also eligible for a performance bonus. While this position is remote, it may include occasional work at a Wabtec office/site or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager.
