Sanofi Group Senior Omni-Activation Manager in Des Moines, Iowa

This role will work cross-functionally with key internal and external stakeholders to drive success in our largest customer team, Mass & Drug with a combined business of $675MM in 2022. The goal of the Omni-Activation Sr. Manager Mass/Drug is to support Omni-channel business managers in meeting their business and marketing objectives through the translation and execution of the eCommerce strategic plans. The Omni-Activation Sr. Manager will report to the Sr. Director of Omni-channel.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and direct media planning, optimization, and performance analysis across multiple mediums, primarily but not limited to, search & display, video, livestream, social media, etc. Bring a data-driven mindset to help determine the optimal channel mix, managing media agencies, and other partners, to achieve our goals.

  • Build and execute seamless omnichannel campaigns using targeted tactics that intercept the shopper along the path to purchase throughout the retailer ecosystems in-store, online, and through grocery pickup and delivery. Responsible for collaborating across Sales, Experience Planning, Marketing (Brand and Shopper teams), and our Retailer Media Agency during the campaign creation process.

  • Develop and collaborate on keyword, ad group, audience, and targeting strategy, and refine overall activation plan based on flight objectives and vendor/platform capabilities.

  • Manage continuous improvement of daily and weekly optimizations across accounts.

  • Ability to analyze shopper, category, and retail sales trends, and aligning to brand and customer priorities.

  • Deliver profitable media and search return on ad spend by analyzing post-campaign analytics and optimizing future activations to ensure maximum reach and efficiency against key performance indicators.

  • Track eCommerce channel performance and campaign results to develop best practice playbooks.

  • Manages a +$20MM retail media budget, spend allocation, job approvals, and reconciliation in partnership with the Sanofi finance/AP teams.

  • Supports the development of a digital learning plan across total Sanofi CHC and the Center of Excellence.

  • Prepares retail media plans for customer presentations and collaborates with agency partners and internal stakeholders for quarterly business reviews.

  • Direct management of omni-channel coordinator(s) which includes all HR supporting tasks (performance reviews, appraisals, etc.), project management, and development planning.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Marketing, Business Administration, Retail Management, or equivalent work experience.

  • Minimum of 5-7 years in roles related to retail media strategy & activation or digital commerce ideally in consumables or health & wellness categories.

  • Direct experience managing others.

  • In-depth knowledge of retail operations, merchandising, and e-commerce strategies is essential. Candidates should be well-versed in the dynamics of the retail industry, including online and offline retail channels.

  • Proven track record of success in building eCommerce and retail media programs through owning initiatives end-to-end, including defining objectives, project planning, resource allocation, key performance indicator development, and implementation.

  • Strong communication skills – in particular, proven ability to communicate verbally and in writing with a wide breadth of audiences: marketing, media, supply chain, technology partners, and agencies.

  • Deep understanding of the digital lead generation and brand building techniques using Search, Social and Programmatic (e.g. Targeting, content and creatives for programmatic and Social, search engine optimization, and search engine marketing).

  • Ability to analyze data, interpret metrics, and derive actionable insights.

  • Experience with search driven media strategies and platforms such as PacVue or Skai.

  • Exemplary project management skills, including the ability to concisely advise on progress, roadblocks, and success to drive project progress.

  • Deep understanding and appreciation for the achievement of business goals and marketing objectives such as incremental sales growth, return on investment, new buyer generation, and market share.

  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
