What you will be doing:In this position you will be part of a fast-paced environment, responsible for managing complex projects which meet budget and schedule to client satisfaction for services related to transportation planning, project funding, bicycle/pedestrian planning, land use analysis and impacts, research, analysis and impacts, and environmental documents. What we are looking for:
Experience in project management
Ability to write and manage the development of professional planning studies
Knowledge of transportation planning methods and application at the local and regional level
Knowledge of multimodal, active transportation and bicycle-pedestrian planning methods and design standards for application in urban and rural areas
Experienced in agency and stakeholder involvement techniques and processes
Experience researching methods and statistical principles related to urban/rural growth and development
Applied knowledge of methods and techniques of effective technical report preparation and presentations
Ability to work well within a team atmosphere
Public engagement experience with transportation projects
Experience with grant and loan application preparation
Prior experience with environmental review and documentation
Education and Experience:
Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in urban and regional planning, urban studies, architecture, landscape architecture, public policy or affiliated degrees.
10 years of progressive planning experience
Thorough knowledge and skills in GIS and its planning uses
General knowledge of NEP regulations (environmental focused)
Strong skills in client needs assessment, meeting quality standards for service and evaluation of client satisfaction.
Possess a valid driver’s license as travel to various facilities and job sites may be required
