Oracle Senior Principal Technical Program Manager in Des Moines, Iowa

Job Description

We are looking for a Technical Program Manager to join the Oracle Health Data Intelligence team who is passionate about building products in the Health Data & Analytics space and willing to navigate ambitious space with many unknowns and quickly speed up to fast paced team with multiple partners.

This is a highly visible role where you will own execution of Oracle Health Data & Analytics initiatives execution that often span across Oracle Health's products. You will work with a diverse set of partners, senior leaders including senior executives, architects, product managers, development and design teams, and external partners to take ideas, turn them into mature products, and put them in the hands of the world’s most fast paced customers.

The successful candidate works backward, starting with the customer; has a passion for solving difficult and often ambiguous problems in a collaborative, agile work environment, a curiosity about creativity and innovative thinking, can lead a conversation in a room with designers, engineers, and product managers, influence partners to arrive at the accurate outcomes, and finally has a good sense of empathy for both customers and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration and dedication across Engineering, Product Management, Operations, Support, and other key partners of the Oracle Health Data Intelligence.

  • Help define and deliver sophisticated programs with competing priorities by influencing roadmaps and priorities of key partners.

  • Work with multi-functional teams to establish and maintain our roadmap, setting appropriate expectations and ensuring our product and services meet our high operational excellence standards

  • Drive execution for timely, on-scope delivery of user and developer facing features.

  • Ensure high standards and consistency for the Oracle customer experience.

  • Recommend process improvements and serve as a partner concern point for all issues and questions associated with a program.

  • Ensure that resource requirements needed to support a particular program are in place.

  • Provide on-going written and verbal release status updates to senior leadership.

  • Demonstrate flexibility and resilience in response to changing or ambiguous situations, advising changes through appropriate review and approval mechanisms.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration or related field or equivalent experience relevant to functional area

  • 10+ years experience in a technical program management role

  • Understanding of SDLC and modern application development with web services

  • A demonstrated ability to think broadly and strategically

  • Dedicated problem solver; able to adapt and thrive in a dynamic, ambiguous, and customer-focused environment

  • Highly analytical, technically proficient, and able to learn new tools and software quickly

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate (oral and written) at various levels in the org, engaging with both technical and non-technical partners

  • Experience using agile software development practices and associated tooling

  • Judgement, maturity, negotiation/influence skills, analytical skills and leadership skills

  • Must be comfortable working with large amounts of data in fast paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing software and/or hardware development

  • Experience managing cloud development programs

  • Experience in enterprise cloud solutions (Azure, AWS, Etc.)

  • Experience in Analytics, AI/ML & Big Data

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range: from $104,000 to $223,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
