What You'll Do
Principal is looking for a Sr. ESOP Consultant to interact with multi-functional groups to help with the plan design and technical analysis of Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOP).
Here are some of the things you'll do:
Consult on projects for ESOP clients and prospects related to complex solutions, technical plan design and compliance-related questions, including integration with other retirement programs, e.g. 401(k) plan, non-qualified deferred compensation, etc.
Provide technical expertise and serve as SME for ESOP and employer securities topics, both privately held and publicly traded.

Who You Are
Bachelor's degree or equivalent required, plus 12 years of experience in retirement, ERISA or employee benefits related field (ESOP experience needed).
Must have proven ability to demonstrate pension experience and knowledge to define and sell consulting services
Excellent skills in consulting, presentation, interpersonal and problem-solving required, as well as outstanding interpersonal, analytical and oral written communication skills
Must be assertive and entrepreneurial
Travel required <20% of the time
Skills that will help you stand out:
Knowledge of ESOP Administration advantageous
Industry education (FLMI, HIAA, CRC, CLU, etc)
Banking, attorney, accounting or consulting firm experience valued
Salary Range Information
Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)
$137000 - $185000 / year
Time Off Program
Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.
