Principal Sr Int Wholesaler - NQ Plans in Des Moines, Iowa

Assist NQ wholesaler in several aspects of the sales process including - developing and implementing marketing programs and support materials that will enable the wholesaler to effectively penetrate targeted market segments, collaborating internally to develop new and repeat advisors and facilitate implemention and onboarding procedures to move NQ plans thru to close

Develop effective working relationships with assignedbroker dealers,, producers and advisors. Educate and motivate advisors on products, concepts, application(s), and features to achieve marketing and sales objectives. Assist in the coordination and implementation of select advisor seminars. Monitor the pipeline of advisors to assist with effectively moving business though the sales process. Partner with PFG sales personnel to maximize advisor relationships and broaden cross-sell efforts.

Provide point of sale and transition support by proactively overseeing the implementation of plans throughout all aspects of a new plan sale. This may include coordination of necessary forms and materials , evaluating for efficiencies, educating producers, as well as working with Raleigh,home office and (at times) WSRS to expedite plan implementation as needed.


Support assigned external wholesaler by proactively promoting and implementing marketing strategies, systems, and collateral materials for identified products and/or concepts within targeted market segments in the territory. Work with wholesaler to develop and implement a marketing and growth plan for targeted firms utilizing research of industry trends, developments and opportunities to ensure meeting our strategic objectives. Ensure effective utilization of schedule to maximize external wholesaler time spent targeting key NQ plan advisors.

Implement Salesforce strategies to increase individual, unit and field productivity as well as accumulate knowledge of producers for current and future marketing. Implement corporate lead generation strategies.

Provide effective ongoing plan maintenance and servicing of sold plans by resolving advisor issues and requests in a timely manner, assisting with the coordination of re-enrollment processes, and working with the Raleigh offices as necessary to meet advisor needs.

Possess a high degree of integrity and actively cooperate and interact with all entities of the Principal Financial Group.

Requires college degree or equivalent, plus 6 - 8 years related experience. Excellent written and verbal communication, problem solving, organizational and relationship building skills required. Must be creative, highly motivated, able to operate independently (self starter), results driven and possess the ability to work effectively under pressure. Some travel required.

Licenses and/or exams necessary for this position include: Life and Variable Life insurance license in state of residence within 60 days of hire, with appointment within 120 days of hire. FINRA Series 6 and 63 exams are also required within 120 days of hire. Maintaining all applicable licenses is required for continued employment in this position. Cannot participate in any solicitation until properly licensed.
