SMX is seeking a Sr. Project Manager responsible for leading a government IDIQ and associated projects to uphold business initiatives. This position is 100% remote.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Creating long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines

  • Delegating tasks on the project to employees best positioned to complete them

  • Making effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project

  • Serving as a point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy

  • Communicating with executives keep the project aligned with their goals

  • Performing quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards expected

  • Adjusting schedules and targets on the project as needs or financing for the project change

  • Lead monthly program reviews for government program. Demonstrate a complete mastery of the following for all projects and ensure we’re meeting contractual obligations for:

  • Budget Status

  • Contract Status

  • Technical Delivery Performance

  • Customer Satisfaction

  • Terms & Conditions

  • Invoicing and Collections

  • Financial reports including burn reports

  • Mastery of program financials including:

  • Revenue

  • Direct Costs

  • Gross Margin

  • Indirect Costs

  • Profit

  • GM% of Revenue

  • Profit % of Revenue

  • Management of SMX program staff including performance management, mentoring and professional development

  • Management of subcontractors including subcontracts, quotes, invoices and representing a unified Team SMX to customers

  • Creates and maintains detailed work plans to include specific tasks, assignments, task dependencies, milestones, and schedule for all tasks (make sure we have project plans, risk management plans and all related program/project management documentation)

  • Provide at least monthly account and program management reviews to the government contracting office leveraging the SMX template already developed for DOI and monthly status updates on all contractual deliverables.

  • Ensure timely, concise and accurate communications with customers, partners and internal stakeholders.

  • Help drive growth and participate in capture process for IDIQ opportunities.

  • Own CPARs and ensure they are positive

  • Communicate in a timely and clear manner with partners (both internal and external), subcontractors, customers and all key stakeholders.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience and knowledge of project management practices and techniques, including plan development, scope and change control management, work breakdown structure.

  • 7 years of experience in project coordination implementing multiple projects with competing priorities

  • Strong organization skills to take initiative and manage multiple tasks and work independently in a demanding, dynamic environment.

  • Project Cost analysis and Financial Management (Burn reporting & Forecasting)

  • Able to consistently meet deadlines and have strong technical experience in Microsoft Office.

  • Must possess a strong knowledge of IT infrastructure.

  • Experience and knowledge of Cloud project management practices and techniques is highly desired
