What Engineering Program/Project Management contributes to Cardinal Health

Program/Project Management is responsible for managing the execution of programs and/or projects consisting of single or multiple projects and/or programs. May manage project and/or program managers within assigned program and/or project. Works within the constraints of budget, schedule and scope while managing risk and ensuring adherence to established processes and methodologies.

The Project Manager Engineer will support the NA & LATAM PMO by working collectively with Marketing, Manufacturing, R&D, Sourcing, etc. to establish a cohesive portfolio of product-centric opportunities which includes evaluating raw materials and ensuring the capture of valuable opportunities in our internal and external manufacturing models.

Responsibilities

  • Build project charters, plans, and schedules for sustaining activities.

  • Independently manages scope, time and resources of medium to large scope projects, within predefined constraints.

  • Utilize Change Development Process for controlling changes post market launch for products and processes.

  • Execute product maintenance and enhancements post market launch at internal and external manufacturing locations.

  • Generate and execute cost reduction solutions to ensure long-term success and stability of assigned products and programs.

  • Responsible for the interface between R&D Engineering and the Manufacturing team, as well as prioritization of product optimization initiatives across Sourcing, Manufacturing, Marketing, Quality and Regulatory.

  • Work collaboratively with Manufacturing and Process/Project Engineering to develop and improve manufacturing processes to support high volume production and cost-down activities.

  • Work collectively with Sourcing and Procurement to identify and execute outsourcing opportunities and lead transfer projects.

  • Collaborate with external suppliers for component and process optimization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience preferred

  • 5-10 years of experience preferred

  • Preferred Certifications: LSS Black Belt, DFSS, PMP

  • Familiarity with medical product design validation and verification procedures preferred

  • Strong leadership qualities, as well as excellent communication skills.

  • Travel Expectation: 25%

Anticipated salary range: $102,000 - $145,700
