The Strategy Advancement Advisor provides business intelligence and strategic planning support for business segments or the company at large. The Financial Planning and Analysis, Strategy Advancement requires an in-depth understanding of how organization capabilities interrelate across the function or segment.

The Financial Planning and Analysis team is looking for a seasoned professional to lead strategic planning and business management for the team. The primary objective of this leader is to ensure that the FP&A teams deliver clear reporting, relevant analytics and accurate financial forecasts and do so efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Internal and executive communications - Preparation assistance with significant meeting forums (Meet Weeks, Management team meetings, Town halls). Assist SVP and other VPs in organization in preparation for on-going management meetings, Board of Director updates, strategic and executive reporting presentations.

  • Portfolio management - Assisting the SVP and leadership team to help ensure strategic alignment across the diverse set of financial teams, both within and external to the FP&A organization. Create structure to assist in properly prioritizing initiatives/projects that align with strategic objectives. Compile cross-team initiatives or adhoc reporting exercises for SVP and team.

  • Monitoring and evaluating organizational progress - Work with team leadership to define, align and track success metrics. Identify gaps and make recommendations for improvement. Establish, operate, and improve the systems that capture, track, and regularly report on work in flight, especially strategic or other cross-functional initiatives, to ensure situational awareness at all levels. Presenting recommendations to mitigate risks and resolves conflicts.

  • Strategic annual planning support - engage and participate in the annual planning process to assist leadership in driving short and longer term forecasting initiatives. Coordinate dependencies and other inter-related efforts across teams (especially when priorities conflict), and facilitate work by ensuring teams have the resources they need.

  • Leadership effectiveness - Serve as a formal and informal gatekeeper to ensure that the SVP is spending their time on the right things. Help leaders carry out the team's vision and strategic intent. Compile regular updates on business activities to generate cross-team awareness Plan team huddles, leadership team meetings, and other cross-team events. Prepare meeting agendas, planning team off-sites, establishing communication patterns and cadences.

  • Day-to-day leadership support - In addition to strategic and longer-term planning support, assist with day-to-day support in topics such as associate engagement, team huddles and follow-ups, conference planning and support, talent and rotation planning, peer-review organization, town halls and preparing the SVP for speaking engagements.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree

  • 5 or more years of project progressive scope and/or leadership experience with high level of motivation and other relevant experience, preferably in the healthcare sector

  • Executive communications experience both written and verbal

  • Ability to work with cross functional teams

  • Ability to present to executive level leadership

  • Strong business and financial acumen 

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Power Point, Word, and Excel 

  • Proven skills influencing others and a track record of success working through ambiguity

  • Comfortable working independently and communicating through multiple levels in the organization

  • Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-changing environment; be nimble and adaptable, handle ambiguity

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$112,400 - $154,900 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
