Summary:

Commerce Buyer org’s charter is to enable users across Facebook’s family of apps (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, etc.) to have a purposeful shopping experience. This org is responsible for building the end-to-end buyer experience (both user facing and the backend system) from discovery to consideration to purchase across Facebook’s family of apps.

Required Skills:

  1. Lead key initiatives and drive collaboration across multiple cross-functional teams including product, engineering, data, and operations to enable commerce experiences on our platform

  2. Provide hands-on program management during analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and post implementation phases

  3. Develop and manage end-to-end project plans and ensure on-time delivery

  4. Communicate status and big picture to the project team and management

  5. Perform risk management and change management on projects

  6. Provide day-to-day coordination and quality assurance for projects and tasks

  7. Drive internal process improvements, remove gaps, across multiple teams and ensure teams are working on high impact projects that align with company mission and goals

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. B.S. in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience

  2. 4+ years of software engineering, systems engineering, hardware engineering, or technical product/program management experience

  3. Communication experience and experience working with technical management teams to develop systems, solutions, and products

  4. Organizational, coordination, and multi-tasking experience

  5. Analytical and problem-solving experience with systems

  6. Experience establishing work relationships across multi-disciplinary teams and multiple partners in different time zones

  7. 10+ years of experience (can be a combination of roles)

  8. Experience working on complex projects spanning multiple teams

  9. Work with both internal and external teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Commerce experience

  2. Data driven Product building
