Job Summary | Major goals and objectives.The Technical SEO Manager combines an understanding of Internet content strategy with search engine crawling and indexing behavior and guidelines to provide tactical support to the Product, Development, and Content SEO teams. The ideal candidate has experience with complex technical implementations of product designs, has intimate understanding of content optimization strategy, has worked with a wide range of user experiences and audience acquisition paths, and is comfortable providing high level recommendations based on deep dives into data.As a member of the Meredith Digital team, you will know the ins and outs of the web strategies of multiple Meredith brands, and communicate SEO best practices to help drive the future of our business. The primary responsibilities of the Technical SEO Manager will be to monitor, support, and enhance the technical SEO performance of Meredith Digital sites and champion our organic traffic growth through smart, actionable search strategies. In this role, you will lead our analysis and reporting and be a trusted ally for technical implementation of web strategy and industry trends.II. Essential Job Functions30%Work as part of the technical SEO team to ensure adherence to page-level, site-wide, and strategic SEO best practices.Monitor technical health of multiple websites through tools and data from Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, web access logs, Deep Crawl, ScreamingFrog, Lighthouse, Google Analytics, and SimilarWeb.Provide ongoing reporting and benchmarking for multiple websites and distribute findings to leadership and other teams as needed.Conduct in-depth site audits and identify technical SEO opportunities and troubleshoot business critical fixes.30%Work with Product, SEO Content Strategists, and Development teams as needed to drive implementation of SEO recommendations.Write and prioritize detailed bugs, stories, and tasks with supporting documentation which can then be communicated to other teams.Provide quality assurance sign-off with each development sprint and document ongoing site changes that may impact organic search traffic.Assist the larger SEO team in providing feedback for product, revenue and other initiatives which may impact SEO metrics.Be a project owner for technical SEO efforts across multiple Meredith owned websites.Troubleshoot onsite issues with members the SEO team and/or development teams.20%Stay abreast of search engine guidelines, industry trends, and all search engine algorithm updates; raise concerns to the larger SEO team and speak to each site's risks.Be knowledgeable about technical SEO initiatives across multiple brands.Train and teach best practices to key stakeholders on the importance of SEO technical and non-technical topics.20%Set up technical SEO tests and tracking and help build documentation of results and levers we can pull for SEO acceleration.100%III. Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements | All must be met to be considered.Education:Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.Experience:5+ years' in-house experience in digital asset management, SEO, Information Architecture, or related field.Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Firm understanding of SEO best practices and Google quality guidelines.Proven ability to identify and troubleshoot onsite issues impacting site performance.Experience in working with onsite, technical, content, video, and social media optimization.Understanding of technical SEO with the ability to communicate with onsite developers and engineers.Know how to use search data as a tool for content development, content marketing, and audience acquisition.Experience with web analytics tools (Google Webmaster Tools, Google Analytics, etc.)Advanced knowledge of SEO methodologies and best practices, including and not limited to markup, meta and rel tag configurations, pagination, URL behavior, and cr
