We are looking for a talented Sales Representative to join our team specializing in Sales for our Distribution Business in Des Moines, Iowa.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Responsible for leading an account team and customer relationships through the sales and account support cycle

  • Executes sales and business development plans to achieve revenue and profitability goals within assigned customers.

  • Drives increased service, parts and engine retail growth at assigned branches through support of existing customers as well as cultivating relationships with new customers

  • Develops new and expands existing customer relationships within the Territory (IA & IL).

  • Responsible for the execution of the sales strategy in support of assigned customers.

  • Work with key OEM Dealers and end customers to create preference for Cummins powered products through training, supporting dealer events and joint customer visits.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • College, university, or equivalent degree in marketing, sales, technical or a related subject or equivalent industry experience required.

  • Ability to acquire licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

  • Significant level of relevant work experience, including previous customer and/or product experience required.

  • Strong understanding of the trucking industry HD/MD, School Bus and Transit market.

  • Ability to develop and grow relationships at multiple levels with key accounts.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Cash Balance Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, Domestic Partners Coverage and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.
