  • Engineering * TESTA10690 Full-Time CCC - HQ Des Moines, IA, USA ### Description SUMMARY Compressor Controls Corporation is the market leader for turbomachinery control and is looking for an experienced and energetic test & verification engineer with focus on networking and system administration. Test & Verification Engineer will join an experienced and innovative Research & Development team and contribute to release of next generation products for our global customers. The key objective of the Test & Verification Engineer is to ensure the design quality and reliability of the real-time turbomachinery control system. The target system typically consists of an embedded controller interfaced by a Windows-based HMI server running first-party applications, and third-party HMI clients. The Test & Verification Engineer will be responsible for the test, verification, and validation of this control system. This person will stage and maintain test beds and testing tools in the R&D laboratory. This person will develop test plans and complete reporting documents. The Test & Verification Engineer will bring the knowledge and experience of networking and system administration to maintain the R&D IT system for security, reliability, and policy compliance. The R&D IT system includes both physical and virtual machines, as well as associated physical and virtual networks. The Test & Verification Engineer will interact with R&D development teams and company IT department. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Listed in order of relevance: * Develop test verification and validation procedures for control products and systems. * Testing, verification and validation of the control products and systems for functionality, performance, reliability and usability. * Design and maintain R&D IT system. * Provide technical support for both internal and external customers. * Respond to change productively and handle other duties as required. * Follow all company safety policies and procedures. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE * BS degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science, Systems Engineering or equivalent technical degree or equivalent experience. * 5+ years working experience in the Engineering, Commissioning or Testing of industrial controls systems. * Required experience in System Administration and Networking. * Preferred experience in the PC programming (Batch files, Python Scripts Script or equal). * Preferred experience in the IEC-61131 programming language. * Preferred experience in the Human-Machine Interface (HMI), Open Platform Communications (OPC). * Experience in the Test Automation Tools (Ranorex or equal) is a plus. KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS * Knowledge of various testing and verification techniques required. * Knowledge of Windows System Administration (Active Directory, WSUS, SMB, etc.), Virtualization (VMware vSphere) and Networking (Cisco IOS) * PC programming (Batch files, Visual Basic Script, Java Script or equal), computer support, HMI, OPC. * Knowledge of product testing simulation with real I/O (LabVIEW, VisSim or equal) and PLC programming (IEC 61131-3) is a plus. * Ability to read, speak, and write in English required.
