Job Brief

The Treasury Management Sales Manager directs the Treasury Management Sales team across all bank regions and is responsible for sales, divisional profitability, development action planning and the establishment of goals.

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for developing marketing plans, customer calling and sales as well as implementation of commercial banking non-credit products targeted toward medium to large-sized business with annual sales from $15,000,000 to $500,000,000. This role is responsible for managing and developing Treasury Management Sales Officers within an assigned area to meet or exceed the bank’s goals. The Sales Manager will establish goals for team members, ensure goals and the strategic vision are met and that Bank policies are followed. The position will also collaborate with internal partners to maximize referrals to and from the Treasury Management Department.

Primary Functions and/or Responsibilities:

  • Sets the strategic direction for Treasury Management Sales line of business in support of the Bank’s overall mission, strategy, and goals & can understand and articulate market demands, trends, and competitive landscape

  • Ensures revenue/profitability objectives of the sales business are met

  • Determines team sales goals for fee income, service charge increases, and new non-interest income deposit growth

  • Participates in weekly sales calls, including prospecting and acquiring new business across all regions

  • Develops new Treasury Management business by analyzing market research data and current customer data from internal systems to develop a list of prospects and/or cross sell opportunities

  • Manages all elements of the Treasury Management sales cycle to include business development, prospect qualification, needs analysis, close and implementation of services

  • Tracks team pipeline and sales activity to report results monthly

  • Prepares and conducts annual performance reviews within established deadlines

  • Works with team on individual professional development and career development opportunities & facilitates team members in creating individual goals and development plans that align with the department goal

  • Assists Treasury Management Officers in the preparation and delivery of sales presentations

  • Works closely with commercial lenders, business banking, and other bank personnel in order to develop new treasury management business

  • Serves as a member of the re-pricing committee

  • Other duties as assigned

    Education and/or Experience:

  • College degree in business related field required

  • CTP strongly preferred

  • At least 8 years of total experience required

  • At least 5 years of treasury management or sales experience required

  • Management experience strongly preferred

    Specific Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of treasury management products and services

  • Strong business development skills

  • Strong negotiation skills
