Principal Financial Group Treasury Relationship Manager in Des Moines, Iowa
What You'll Do
We're looking for a Treasury Relationship Manager to provide consultation and technical expertise for complex projects, and to serve as a liaison for other departments throughout the company. In this role, you would work directly with internal business leaders and outside providers to understand their needs and develop and implement strategies to meet their business challenges. Focus areas would include payment and collections streams, process flows, and data exchange.
Responsibilities could include
Research and analyze complex domestic and nondomestic treasury management, liquidity, regulatory, banking transactions and activities.
Partner with, provide analysis to, and make recommendations to senior level leaders across the organization.
Provide relationship management oversight around key financial service/ third party providers.
Ensure continuity between the business units’ and Treasury’s overall goals and objectives.
Act as a business liaison to support the global Treasury needs as it pertains to Principal’s global footprint.
Some international travel may be required.
Who You Are
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or equivalent experience.
4+ years related experience. Preferred experience in treasury management and banking products/services.
Strong problem-solving, consultation, and analytical skills.
Ability to interact, influence and build relationships with internal and external partners including our external financial service and third-party data providers.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, customer service and organizational skills.
Proven relationship management capabilities.

Demonstrated ability to embrace and understand the change process, and effectively guide others through strategic enterprise transformation.
Must be team-oriented with ability to work independently and efficiently meet deadlines with limited supervision.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn other tools.
2nd language helpful but not required.
Salary Range Information
Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)
$86450 - $111815 / year
Time Off Program
Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.
This role offers in-office, and hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek) work arrangements at our Des Moines, IA headquarter location. You’ll work with your leader to figure out which option may align best based on several factors.
