Overview
Mercy College of Health Sciences is a Catholic institution of higher education rooted in the heritage of the Sisters of Mercy guided by our core values of knowledge reverence integrity compassion and excellence.

Responsibilities
• Leads culture transformation to change mindsets and behaviors to build an engaging and
welcoming environment for all employees and students.
• Provides leadership and direction for the Engagement Department including the development and
achievement of its strategic plan, goals, and objectives.
• Hires, develops, trains, directs and motivates staff to ensure optimal performance. Provides
regular feedback, including annual performance evaluations.
• Oversees and manages all aspects of the Human Resources’ functions including talent acquisition
strategies, diversity and inclusion, compensation structure, performance management. Ensures
the institution’s Human Resources practices and policies meet federal, state, local and College
requirements.
• Designs a student affairs’ philosophy and framework supporting the enhancement of student
learning outcomes and success.
• Ensures compliance with federal and state regulatory requirements involving student affairs’
matters including FERPA, EEOC, ADA, and related standards.
• Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree required with experience in business, finance or related field.
• Seven years’ experience with progressive and successful leadership and outcomes.
• Five years’ experience in Human Resources.
• Three years’ experience in leading engagement and success programs.
• Proven leadership skills and abilities in directing and supervising staff and projects.
• Excellent oral and written communications with sound decision and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated experience in strategic, operational, and systems planning.
• Proven customer-service orientation with ability to interact effectively with all constituents in a
timely and appropriate manner.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience within an educational and/or health systems environment preferred.
