As VP of Sales, you will be responsible for Dwolla’s ARR growth and will formulate the overall sales strategy for the company. Leading a team of high-performing sales professionals, you will translate this strategy into tactical growth plans. This position effectively balances the demands of leading and growing the current inbound sales organization while building the company’s outbound and enterprise sales programs. In addition to hiring, training, motivating, and leading the sales organization, the VP of Sales will be on the frontlines of developing high quality, strategic customer relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, hire, and train extraordinary sales professionals in both the Des Moines and San Francisco offices.

  • Refine existing inbound sales practices and tools to create repeatable, scalable sales processes that accelerate growth.

  • Develop and execute on Dwolla’s outbound and enterprise sales strategies, setting bold targets and monitoring performance against targets.

  • Analyze existing and new business opportunities, developing a keen understanding of market conditions, product requirements, demand for products, and resource requirements.

  • Enhance Dwolla’s sales training program, provide mentorship on sales process, deal structure, and negotiation strategies.

  • Assist in sales as necessary, providing sales leadership on strategic target accounts.

  • Set and achieve sales goals informed by historical data and accurately forecast monthly, quarterly and yearly revenues.

  • Develop and lead sales compensation plans that drive company objectives and motivate outcome-based behaviors.

  • Partner with the Leadership team to identify and execute on key commercial strategies and tactics.

  • Collaborate with Marketing to ensure strong pipeline growth.

  • Report on key sales metrics and projections, team expansion progress, and sales plan developments to the Dwolla Board of Directors.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of leadership experience in a high growth SaaS business, with responsibility for closing net new business. Expert in SaaS sales metrics.

  • Consistent track record of scaling a sales team in a fast-growing environment.

  • Passionate about creating repeatable, scalable sales processes.

  • Excited to operate at both a strategic and hands-on level, able to get to the heart of issues rapidly and to act conclusively, applying a bias to action

  • Excellent communication and organization skills.

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, ambitious environment.

  • Knowledge of and enthusiasm for technology.

  • Willingness to travel periodically between Des Moines and San Francisco offices.

  • Expertise with payments products and API-focused platforms.

  • Experience building a business line beyond $100M+ ARR.

  • Computer Science or other technology background.
