Performs basic office or clerical duties involving word processing, filing, copying, and other clerical tasks of a diverse nature.
Answers office telephones. Directs the call or relays a message to appropriate individual. Gives accurate routine information to the public. Records the necessary information for College brochure requests, conveying messages promptly to appropriate individuals.
Provides accurate directions, information, and, if necessary, escort to the public.
Knowledgeable of the Fire/Disaster and Security plans and acts accordingly if need arises.
Provides services to the College staff and students, demonstrating confidentiality and customer relations principles.
Assists in special projects for the College as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or GED
Word processing experience preferred (with ability to type 35-40 wpm).
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Good verbal communication skills
Must be a Current Student at Mercy College
