Kemin Industries WW Senior Accounting Manager in Des Moines, Iowa
The primary role for this position is to add value to the Accounting and Manufacturing processes by developing/coordinating projects and maintaining data while contributing to the continuous improvement of operational efficiencies. This will be accomplished by enhancing the use of our computer system, by developing and monitoring performance measurements, and by performing critical operational analyses. Strong focus on cost accounting & operations reviews while maintaining strong internal controls and assisting in acquisition due diligence. The Sr. Accounting manager has the responsibility of ensuring the financials are accurate and timely and Kemin’s assets are always protected.
What you will do:
Complete monthly consolidated financials for WW and for one of Kemin’s Venture Business Units.
Provide reports for external reporting, including financials to banking institutions and audit work.
Assist preparation and provide analysis for monthly projections for growth.
Prepare and coordinate audit activities with outside accounting firm.
Ensure compliance with the worldwide accounting manual
Provide analysis regarding all of the business and present via whitepapers and/or presentations.
Ensure compliance with all internal control requirements, test quarterly and perform annual peer review
Participate in finance due diligence team if requested
Provide state-of-art financial services function using advanced techniques and technologies.
Work in concert with the WW team to provide relevant information to allow maximum impact and internal return.
Develop financial models to evaluate potential investments.
Provide strategic direction for growth of the company including participating in the evaluation of financing methods to fund the growth.
Coordinate and prioritize finance projects and assume responsibility for their success.
Assess and implement new technologies to streamline processes and take Kemin to a multi billion-dollar company.
Help to develop and manage consolidated annual budgets for the company.
Research, write-up and present technical accounting issues throughout the year
What you will need:
Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Accounting,
7+ years of experience in the accounting and finance arena, including minimum 4 years in manufacturing
CPA or MBA preferred.
Multi-language ability a plus.
Experience with multi-currency consolidations, eliminations, and report writing.
In-depth understanding of accounting (including GAAP), finance and information services.
Strong excel skills, power BI and a passion for diving into ERP systems.
Ability to see the big-picture and how finance can impact the overall growth of the business.
Experience as a project team player, leader and motivator; and the ability to present ideas effectively and communicate well with all levels of management within a team environment on a variety of programs and projects.
Demonstrated project management skills, including forecasting skills, project planning and the development of project timelines.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to be able to work effectively in a diverse team environment.
An understanding of- and experience with- process improvement to affect increased efficiencies in all aspects of the global business for both finance and company infrastructures.
Experience in dealing with challenging problems, developing strategies, prioritizing and implementing appropriate programs.
A high degree of personal motivation, a desire to make an immediate contribution and a distinct sense of urgency.
A willingness and ability to travel on a global basis.

Working Conditions:The WW Accounting Manager is office-based at the Kemin Industries, Inc. headquarters in Des Moines, Iowa. The position is considered to be 40 hours per week, but requires tremendous flexibility and may require the incumbent to accomplish additional work at home or tele-commute. The incumbent will be expected to travel, mainly internationally (5%-10% of the time).
