The Director, Consumer Product Marketing, will report to the Executive Director, Marketing. This leadership role will be responsible for determining the strategy and leading the promotional consumer execution for Xifaxan. It will be critical that this commercial leader fully understand consumer engagement and the ability to activate a patient at various points in their journey; including content marketing , social media , DTC and our overall digital customer experience .
This strong commercial leader will be expected to bring a vision and a plan to offer better solutions for the patients and caregivers in the GI and Liver space and will be required to engage with and inspire a cross-functional team to deliver on the key strategic imperatives.
This position has a broad functional responsibility and high visibility to executive level decision makers. The candidate must align cross-organizational teams, as well as associate and connect data points to one another. The ideal candidate must have excellent internal communications skills and is collaborative, organized, agile and visionary.
PLEASE NOTE: This a a hybrid role our of the Bridgewater, NJ HQ.
Key Roles and Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Develop, lead and bring to life brand strategies by working with our internal and external teams and agencies to identify strategic imperatives and supporting tactics
Lead the development of strategic marketing plans informed by customer and market insights
Drive execution through collaboration with sales leadership
Collaborate with a cross-functional team, including Medical, R&D, Sales, Trade, Finance, Operations, PR, Market Research, etc.
Track market trends by working closely with analytics to derive competitive strategy and differentiation
Plan, execute and measure all non-personal digital tactics
Inform the annual planning process, to develop and deliver on a strong brand vision
Drive re-balancing of priorities to meet market opportunities or unexpected needs
Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field. MBA/Masters preferred.
Pharmaceutical marketing experience required, prefer 7+ years
Consumer marketing experience required, prefer 3+ years
Experience with brand strategy/positioning/planning, product commercialization, and consumer marketing across the marketing mix
Media planning experience required including but not limited to Social Media, Digital/Online Media, TV (addressable, connected and linear)
Ability to lead within a complex matrix organization
