MSA has an opportunity for a Learning & Development Specialist to join our Human Resource team in our Baraboo, Dubuque or Madison office.

The work you will do

  • Acts as liaison and advisor to the organization's leadership and facilitates company-wide initiatives that strengthen employee engagement and fosters culture and capabilities to meet organizational goals.

  • Collaborates with key stakeholders, including Communities of Practice chairs and leaders to assist in the formalization and definition of processes that maintain our employee development strategy.

  • Develops customized curricula and implements innovative, multi-modal programs that engage employees and provides learning experiences that enhance and continuously improve the knowledge, skills, and expected performance in business-critical areas.

  • Develops learning paths and plans for major job groups and levels.

  • Aligns learning opportunities with multi-state requirements for professional development hours (PDHs)

  • Delivers consistent tracking and record-keeping by implementing a full-service Learning Management System.

What you bring

Skills & Knowledge / Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, adult education, organizational development, or other related area required

  • 4 or more years of prior experience designing and implementing effective training and development programs required

  • Expertise in adult education, curriculum development, and educational technology to develop the programs and practices that meet immediate and future talent development needs

  • Prior experience in professional services industry or A/E/C industry would be a plus

  • The ideal candidate will have service orientation, strong organizational skills and ability to excel independently as well as in a team based environment
