Actalent Product Engineer in Dubuque, Iowa

Job Title: Mechanical Design EngineerJob Description

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to assist in the design and development of both legacy and new products. This role involves a balance of 50% design work and 50% collaboration with cross-functional groups on the production floor. The engineer will engage in real-time problem-solving on the production line, conduct root cause analysis, and implement new design or process conditions as required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and development of legacy and new products.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional groups on the production floor.

  • Engage in real-time problem solving on the production line.

  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement solutions.

  • Utilize Autodesk Inventor/Solidworks for product development.

  • Conduct feasibility analysis using FEA and GD&T.

  • Create project proposals using Microsoft Suite.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor or Solidworks.

  • Experience with FEA and GD&T.

  • Strong skills in 3D design.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in design/analysis post-graduation.

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with fenestration, windows, doors, cabinetry, or design and analysis of wood.

  • Knowledge of BOM and Creo.

  • Experience with door and window casements and design of doors and windows.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $60.00/hr.
