Our client, the leading commercial baking company in America with over 75 years of experience providing delicous and nutritous baked goods and snacks, is looking to hire a Production Supervisor to lead a team in the production of high-quality baked goods. This is a Direct Hire opportunity. Qualifications:

• Production Supervisor experience in manufacturing

• Associates or Bachelor's degree highly preferred

• 2-3 years of experience leading manufacturing teams in a high-speed production environment.

• Food industry experience is a plus.

• Leadership skills with a focus on associate development and accountability.

• Excellent communication/interpersonal skills w/ability to work in cross-functional teams.

• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office products and ERP/MRP systems.

• Experience with 5S and LEAN tools highly preferred.

• Union Leadership experience

• Able to work 2nd or 3rd shift

salary: $65,000 - $75,000 per year

work hours: 2 PM - 10 PM

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership, coaching & development creating a culture of safety, inclusion, engagement and accountability.

• Leads by example and ensures the safe and on-time production of high-quality baked goods through adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to meet company, customer and regulatory standards.

• Drives continuous improvement in the daily use of Lean tools and Root Cause Analysis.

• Tracks/reports on production data evaluating performance against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

• Lead a production team in the making of products

• Ensure associates have proper training.

• Coach, motivate team members, trying to remove obstacles and increase efficiency.

• Perform continuous improvement activities.
