The State Training School for Boys located in Eldora, Iowa is seeking a Carpenter. The 15 buildings on campus have all been upgraded. There will be new building projects to work on as well as maintenance and repair. This is an ideal position for someone who loves to do quality professional work in a variety of settings and complete a variety of projects all while in a stable year-round environment going to work at the same location every day.
Hours are typically 7 am to 3:30 pm Monday through Friday. You may be on call and required to work other hours. Excellent base pay and remarkable benefits.

Eldora is 45 minutes from Ames and Cedar Falls, 35 minutes from Marshalltown, and only 22 minutes from Iowa Falls.

Minimum Qualification Requirements
Experience equal to three years of full-time work in skilled carpentry;
an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting the successful completion of one term of study in a carpentry course at a recognized trade school for each six months of the required experience;
an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting the successful completion of a recognized apprenticeship in carpentry for the required experience;
employees withcurrentcontinuous experience in the state executive branch that includes experience equal to two years of full-time experience as a Trades Helper involving carpentry work.
