Job Title: 3rd Shift Machinist

Job Description

Founded in 1980, our client provides the US Military, law enforcement, and government agencies with precision-engineered, high-quality weapons, components, and modular weapon systems. They have secured new international projects and contracts, including the need for 500 GL's in Estonia and other parts of the world. They are currently seeking machinists for the 3rd shift, including 5 CNC Machinist. They are looking for quality people to join their team for long-term positions.

Hard Skills

• CNC Operator Level I, II, and III: operate and adjust CNC Mill and Lathe tools

• Strong mechanical aptitude

• Basic knowledge of hand tools and mechanical devices

• Basic knowledge of machining processes (milling/lathes, horizontal/vertical)

• Capability to use precision measuring devices: micrometers, calipers, height stands

• Competence to measure to .001

• Has worked with Mazak Machines

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 90 Day(s).

• Pay as stated $20.00-$26.00

• Hours

• Training on first shift (7:00AM-3:15PM) for up to 2-4 weeks

• Once fully trained and self proficient 3rd shift hours are (11:00PM-7:15AM)

Work Environment

Well-lit, very clean, updated facility moved to Eldridge location in the last 15 years. Candidates are frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and work near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment can be loud at times. Family-like atmosphere.
