The Senior Vice President, Consulting Services works under the direction of the President, Growth and Development, to lead the Consulting Service and Source Departments. This position is responsible for leading and managing all strategic aspects of the Consulting Service Departments that encompasses our Practice Management, Technology Consulting, Financial Institutions, and Successions and Acquisition Solutions teams as well as our Source Department that includes Office Assistant, Customized Marketing and Websites, Business Consulting, HR essentials and other outsourced services for financial professionals.

This leader will be heavily involved in the development, enhancement and on-going delivery of the Consulting Service Departments efforts, as measured by Financial Professional participants’ success and growth rates as compared to non-participating Financial Professionals in the areas of business growth, retention (longevity with the Firm), and personal goal achievement. The leader will also be responsible for the maturation of existing Source offerings and development of new ones as measured by total revenues and expenses of the combined programs.

Practice Management and Technology Consulting

  • Create relevant and engaging coaching and consulting programs. Deliver programs to groups of varying sizes including: one on one, small groups and large audiences

  • Construct solid action plans, complete with forecasting and tracked results

  • Foster all levels of skill development from beginner to intermediate and advanced

  • Work closely with External Education and Client Solutions in development of curriculum and content

Succession and Acquisitions

  • Exhibit a deep understanding of the valuation process for securities and financial service businesses

  • Be able to service and offer advice to those members who are engaged in business continuity, succession and acquisition planning

Financial Institutions

  • Develop relationships with banks and credit unions exclusively for financial professionals

  • Construct solid action plans, complete with forecasting and tracked results for firm revenue, new financial institutions, and new financial professionals

  • Develop and expand individual relationships with Bank and Credit Union associations across the country

Source

  • Maintain and develop in-house solutions for outsourcing needs

  • Construct revenue plans complete with growth projections and expense management controls

  • Work closely with Clients Solutions and Business Development in development of financial professional pipeline

  • Exhibit leadership and an understanding across an umbrella of services vital to the financial professional’s business model

General Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Act as Consulting Service’s senior point of contact, both internally and externally, including but not limited to topics such as the firm’s structure, purpose, policies, procedures and business plan, program benefits, valuations, incentive programs, etc.

  • Use relationship management skills along with asset growth skills to achieve quarterly and annual growth, retention, service levels, and lead generation

  • Interface with other department heads and teams in a positive, cooperative manner to achieve The Company’s common goals and ensure communication of those goals and statuses to all necessary parties

  • Set reasonable standards for accomplishing company mission and departmental tasks and goals.

  • Effectively plan and establish sound financial and operational controls within business units under direct areas of responsibility, prepare reasonable annual budgets for each unit, and evaluate status regularly

Develop, motivate, and lead a high-performance team and review performance of teams on regular basis to ensure alignment with corporate approach

  • Attract, recruit, and retain required members of the team not currently in place

  • Report out to the President, Growth and Development and other members of Executive Leadership on activities and status of the program and make recommendations on upgrades or enhancements for the program’s activities

  • Conduct continuing assessments of departmental performance compared to organizational performance – consider present and planned capacity of business units under areas of responsibility (to assess productivity/profitability) in financial terms, staffing and organization, and financial professional customer satisfaction

  • Provide leadership and support in marketing projects including, but not limited to, website enhancement and updates, public relations, brochure layout, design, and content

  • Travel to/from office to various destinations to participate as needed in Firm’s conferences and effectively interface with Financial Professionals for the purpose of maintaining and enhancing relationships

  • Timely assistance with reports including, but not limited to, progress reports and participation reports

Ten or more years related experience and/or training.

Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Series 7 and Series 24 is required.

Compensation: $200,000-$240,000. This range is a good faith estimate of the compensation to be offered for this position based on the ideal candidate’s qualifications, the Company’s operational needs, and other considerations permitted by law. The actual pay offered to a specific candidate may vary above or below the stated range.
