    SCOPE:

    This position is responsible for performing payment processing activities; keying and balancing work received from the branches; processing inclearing files, scanning proof from operations, helping branches troubleshoot issues with their scanners, and assisting Item Processing and eServices with daily activities.

    ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    Item Processing/eServices: (80%)

  • P rocess and capture daily transaction items. Perform reject re-entry and balancing of captured proof work. Run appropriate reports and extract balanced work files. Upload to core processing system and corresponding banking institutions.

  • Process Mobile banking alerts.

  • Process of customer corrections that are needed

  • Process Inclearing files. Work rejects and balance file to be uploaded to the check processing system.

  • Prepare item processing reports for retention.

  • Perform daily scanning of operation proof and become proficient on Hills Bank Branch Capture item processing scanning system.

  • Perform monthly preparation of CD-Rom statements for commercial customers.

  • Help branches troubleshoot issues with Branch Capture.

  • Perform Image ATM check verifications/reconciliations.

  • Perform Gift Card stock fulfillment.

  • Process and reconcile cafeteria cash drawer and prepare accompanying ACH payment entries.

    Customer Service: (5%)

  • As directed or required, contact Bank personnel and customers when a substantial transaction error is detected. Proceed with appropriate actions necessary to assure that customer account and Bank records accurately reflect the correct transaction amounts and balances.

  • Provide first level support for branch staff when issues arise with their scanning equipment.

    Other: (15%)

  • As part of the overall team of bank employees, this position may be requested to assist in the support of other bank activities.

    EDUCATION AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • 1+ years of experience with ten-key.

  • This job requires skills needed in a typical office environment. This includes computer skills, communications skills, as well as utilization of office equipment.
