The Senior Continuous Improvement Specialist role is a great personal development opportunity for someone who is interested in becoming our next Employee Owner! Bring your own background and experience to the CI team and make this role your own!

The newly created Senior Continuous Improvement Specialist position will be influential in identifying strategic gaps and needs across Kreg Tool and developing the solutions to bridge those gaps. The role will leverage their relationships to identify Continuous Improvement opportunities and lead complex, cross-functional projects and events.

What You'll Do:

  • Collaborate with the Corporate CI Manager to influence and implement strategy that drives a culture of empowered problem solvers and continuous improvement enthusiasts

  • Build relationships with all levels and shifts of Operations and supporting functions to increase engagement

  • Identify and prioritize Operations and cross-functional improvement opportunities

  • Empower Operations personnel to identify waste and variation

  • Hold personnel accountable for following through on high-priority improvement efforts

  • Assist with managing Operations resource capacity to balance daily work, ongoing improvements, and organizational growth in alignment with CI and company strategy

  • Influence all levels of the company to enable scaling of business resources at a rate equal to or less than top line growth

  • Train and educate the company on continuous improvement methodologies (e.g.: Lean, Six Sigma) for maximizing value

  • Lead Continuous Improvement events to drive corporate results while developing employees

What Experience and Education You'll Need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent relevant experience in lieu of degree

  • 6-10 years of business relevant experience required

  • 5 years of formal process improvement and problem-solving experience required

  • Strong understanding and hands on experience applying Lean Methodologies to Operations required

  • Proven track record for coaching, mentoring and serving team members required

  • Formal certification in problem solving (Green Belt, Black Belt) preferred
