Buchanan County Health Center Chief Financial Officer in Independence, Iowa

  • GENERAL DESCRIPTION

    The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) /Associate Administrator is responsible for all the functions related to the financial operations of BCHC. These responsibilities include the accounting, insurance, financial systems and auditing. The CFO gathers and analyzes all the financial data and information to ensure BCHC is operating within budget and recommends how to allocate funds to support BCHC’s mission. Keeps Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Board of Trustees informed of the financial condition of the organization.

  • EDUCATION & TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

  • A Master's Degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, finance or accounting required.

  • CPA preferred.

  • WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Requires a minimum of five years healthcare related business or administrative experience in a financial field to acquire competence in a variety of activities to include the analysis of financial data, accounting, insurance, financial/accounting systems, internal controls and auditing.
