Job Title: Forklift Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Forklift Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, trailers, and containers, operating forklifts and other material handling equipment, and ensuring the accurate and timely shipment of goods. Additional duties include maintaining a clean and organized dock area, inspecting and maintaining equipment for safe operation, and following all safety protocols and procedures. This role also involves assisting with the filling of Ag Fluid totes, which requires a high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers.

• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.

• Ensure accurate and timely shipment of goods.

• Maintain a clean and organized dock area.

• Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure safe operation.

• Follow all safety protocols and procedures.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

• Assist with filling of Ag Fluid totes, including operating pump system to fill containers, which requires a high attention to detail.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• No certifications required

• No education requirements

• Experience as a dock laborer is a must

• Experience with similar companies including GXO, XPO, Chemorse, and Neogen is a plus

Work Environment

Casual dress code including jeans, work-appropriate sweatshirts/t-shirts, and steel toe boots. Work hours are from 7am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday, with minimal overtime. You will be working in a small team environment with 8-10 employees.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianola, Iowa.
