We are looking for an Assistant Bookkeeper in Iowa City, Iowa. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records in our organization. The position involves tasks such as account reconciliation, processing checks, coding invoices, and data entry. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Reconcile accounts to ensure all payments are accurate

• Process accounts payable (AP) and ensure all payments are made in a timely manner

• Conduct regular check runs to maintain financial stability

• Code invoices accurately for the correct categorization and tracking

• Perform data entry tasks to keep records up-to-date

• Process invoices, ensuring all details are correct and logged

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data management and tracking

• Use QuickBooks for managing and processing financial information

Requirements

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)

• Ability to handle Check Runs

• Familiarity with Coding Invoices

• Proven skills in Data Entry

• Experience with Invoice Processing

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with QuickBooks
