Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Mechanic - 2nd Shift

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Facilities Maintenance Mechanic to join our team on the 2nd shift, working Monday to Friday from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM. The successful candidate will be responsible for fixing and maintaining mechanical equipment, buildings, and various systems within the facility. This includes tasks such as touch-up painting, flooring repairs, plumbing maintenance for toilets, urinals, and sinks, and electrical work including changing light tubes, ballasts, and sockets. Additionally, the individual will perform preventative maintenance on exhaust fans and coolers and respond to work requests and emergency situations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Fix and maintain mechanical equipment and buildings.

• Perform touch-up painting and flooring repairs.

• Handle plumbing maintenance for toilets, urinals, and sinks.

• Perform electrical work including changing light tubes, ballasts, and sockets.

• Conduct preventative maintenance on exhaust fans and coolers.

• Respond to work phone requests and emergency situations.

• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance tasks according to work orders and instructions.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of general or facilities maintenance experience.

• Skills in general maintenance, mechanical, HVAC, hydraulics, motors, repair, troubleshooting, painting, building maintenance, facility maintenance, lighting, maintenance repair, maintenance technician, preventive maintenance, construction, carpentry, blueprint reading, and electronic circuits.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in plumbing, low voltage electrical, and light carpentry.

• Ability to change light bulbs, perform plumbing tasks for bathrooms, and clean or change filters and exhaust fans.

Work Environment

The work environment is a mix of climate-controlled and semi-climate-controlled areas. The facility includes both a warehouse side and a climate-controlled production side. The team consists of three people, so the candidate must be comfortable working independently. The working hours are from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00
