The Project Manager I is an introductory role, responsible for assisting with the direction of assigned project teams that result in the successful execution of assigned projects to meet the needs of the organization. This role must be capable of planning and management of assigned projects. Communicates effectively with stakeholders; escalate concerns and troubleshoot problems to keep a project on schedule, in scope, and under budget; report on progress.
Performs project management duties for assigned projects under the management and oversight of the Senior Project Manager.
Conducts project initiation responsibilities, including the creation of a Project Charter, which defines key aspects of the project such as project objectives, scope, timeline, and cost summary.
Collaborates with project team executive sponsors and/or team leads.
Works with project team to prepare for and facilitate meetings.
Conducts comprehensive project planning, including the identification of risks, issues, potential obstacles, and other factors that could impact the success of the project.
Determines issues that could impact the success of the project to alleviate impact and achieve desired project outcome. Works in coordination with Senior Project Manager to address concerns and troubleshooting more complex matters.
Estimates project resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner.
Tracks project costs to meet budget constraints.
Provides project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about progress and changes.
Manages relationships with vendors and suppliers.
Utilizes industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project
Monitors progress and implement adjustments as needed
Measures project performance to identify areas for improvement
Conducts project reporting to keep stakeholders informed
Performs other duties as assigned

Bachelor’s degree preferred; ideally in Business Admin (or related), or the combination of education and related experience.
In addition to education and experience listed above, prefer 6 months to 2 years of project management with familiarity with the Project Management Institute and standard Project Management principles.
Prefer the CAPM Certification or must have the ability to obtain the certification within an appropriate timeframe determined by the candidate and employer. Banking or financial experience is also preferred.
