Our software engineering lead can visualize a future state and make that vision a reality, while bringing others along toward that vision. Role Responsibilities

  • Architect and build enterprise learning and knowledge management solutions working with a team with a track record of being at the leading edge of education technologies in the enterprise domain

  • Design and collaborate with the team to drive architecture and technology stack decisions

  • Collaborate with the product manager to deliver on overall strategic vision of our platform

  • Engineer efficient code based on technical specifications

  • Decompose business and product requirements to features and user stories

  • Continuously improve the efficiency and productivity of the agile team

Desired Skills and Experiences

  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. Masters degree preferred, or 4+ years experience in developing full-stack high throughput, low latency web applications

  • 5+ years as a software engineer

  • Experience with Python (frameworks like Flask), JavaScript (React), relational and NoSQL databases and using AWS services

  • Acts as a resource for the team

  • Intellectual capacity to understand most complex problems and explain them in simple terms to developers and non-technical stakeholders

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills; you can build and maintain trust of all stakeholders

  • A proven history of adding value beyond meeting stated technical requirements

  • A passion for DevOps and test automation

  • The desire and ability to take initiative, learn more, try something new and embrace change
