Regional AccountManager (RAM) - MN, ND, SD, NE, IA

YOU ARE more than just a title, YOU ARE…

  • A Sales Expert Leader. You areresponsible for gaining and maintaining access, reimbursement, and policies forAbbVie’s Pharmaceutical products at regional HMOs, PBMs and Integrated HealthNetworks. You represent Allergan with critical customers and are charged withengaging with them to successfully implement brand strategy but to also enhancethe overall strategic relationship with customers.

  • A Creative Knowledgeable KeyPlayer. You will use the knowledge gained from engagement with regionalcustomers to provide input into brand forecasts and strategies and to monitorand develop tactics for engaging customers in the changing healthcareenvironment.

  • A Partner within theorganization. You will partner with the sales organization to provide insight,and where appropriate plans related to reimbursement and access to maximizesales opportunities.

YOU WILL:

  • Be responsible for theAbbVie pharmaceutical & medical reimbursement portfolio. Gain andmaintain product access and reimbursement with regional managed care payers.

  • Enhance and buildrelationships. Develop relationships with regional payers, developing along-term partnership that endures over many years. You will have relationshipsand access to stakeholders throughout their customers and implement a long-termengagement plan with NAM, CAD’s and executives at Allergan and the payers.

  • Partner with local sales teamseffectively. Maximize sales efforts within the region. The RAM is expected tobe the expert on local market dynamics and to consistently find opportunitiesto enhance sales efforts. Provide excellent insight and customer service tolocal sales counterparts and sales leadership.

  • Gather local market insights& develop new access tactics. The RAM is in a unique position to understand changes inhealthcare reimbursement and delivery and is expected to identify the changesand work closely with managed care colleagues to develop new strategies andtactics based on these changes.

Qualifications

YOU BRING:

  • Live in Minneapolis, NorthDakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa, but open to living anywhere within theterritory

  • At least five (5) yearsof experience in the pharmaceutical or related healthcare industry .

  • Advanced understandingof the managed healthcare environment and the pharmaceutical sales andreimbursement process.

  • Proven ability tointeract effectively with external and internal stakeholders and to operateindependently.

  • Demonstrated analyticaland quantitative skills; ability to interpret disparate data sets and developplans and strategies based on quantitative analysis.

  • Strong negotiation andfacilitation skills

  • Ability to learn, selland prioritize multiple products and customer challenges

  • Outstanding oral,written, and group communication skills.

  • Excellent leadershipskills: positive energy, relentless approach to achieving results,excellent people skills and ability to form partnerships with allstakeholders. Demonstrated ability to influence others with and withoutauthority.

  • Bachelor's degreerequired
