How Will You Make An Impact?

The CamelBak Supply Planning Analyst, under the guidance of the Director of Global Planning and Planning Team, develops the constrained supply plan with cross-functional input, for translation into the production site plan, to achieve optimal inventory management and customer service levels. This individual will work collaboratively with global Demand Planning, Sales, Finance, and 3rd party manufacturing Teams to ensure alignment with Regional / Global demand trends.

Summary

The Supply Planning Analyst position creates and executes product replenishment strategies based on forecasted inventory requirements using the demand signals provided by the demand planning team. In addition, for “Make to Order”, or one-time purchases, the Supply Planning Analyst ensures the right product is procured on schedule. The Supply Planning Analyst acts as a support function to the Demand Planning team to ensure that the product being procured is necessary and timely in support of the demand plan (i.e. customer requirements). Additionally, the Supply Planning Analyst will be accountable for the monthly Global Supply Review in accordance with the CamelBak S&OP process. Supply Planning Analysts carefully monitor safety stocks and global inventory positioning while simultaneously achieving CamelBak’s inventory turns/working capital goals. One of the Supply Planning Analysts’ primary responsibilities is to ensure supply risks and opportunities are identified in advance and managed accordingly.

Process Related Responsibilities

  • Creates consolidated supply plan for all soft goods.

  • Collaborates with Demand Planning to support new product launches by working hand-in hand to ensure all finished goods are available to fulfill commercial/channel launch requirements.

  • Collaborates with the Demand Planning team to create a supply plan that meets the demand and established safety stock levels and that can be executed by the factory.

  • Collaborates with global manufacturing teams to monitor factory performance and ensure Purchase Order deliveries, projected completion dates, and delivery quantities are expeditiously maintained in Oracle.

  • Develop and modifying standard operations procedures that affect the Supply Planning team

  • Manage Finished Goods Inventory Health (Excess & Obsolescence, MOQs, Safety Stock)

  • Drive gap allocation processes together with other regions and the site planning teams for long term strategic inventory planning.

  • Execution of planed ramp up and ramp down scenarios for new product introductions and product discontinuations.

  • Key supply planning contact for regional cross-functional leads.

  • Monitors aging PO’s and ensures they are either executed or closed as appropriate.

  • Works in partnership with Customer Service to assess any gaps in supply and develops corrective action plans in concert with Product Op’s.

  • Responsible for understanding and maintaining lead times for all sku’s and establishes planner codes that ensure product supply/demand is systemically reviewed on an ongoing basis via the CamelBak S&OP process.

  • Works with the business to provide inventory visibility on critical shipments.

  • A strong balance of analytical skills and action orientation to drive sustaining results with intensity, at times demonstrating the confidence, conviction, and collaboration to innovate new strategies and methodologies.

Education/Experience :

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. Focused degree in Supply Chain Management or related field is a plus.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in a supply planner role using a major ERP system. Oracle experience is strongly preferred.

  • Consumer products industry background is preferred.

  • Ability to communicate clearly.

  • Analytical thinking with a solid understanding of inventory management required.

  • Ability to utilize influencing skills and to forge collaboration across all levels of an organization is required.

  • Clear and articulate verbal and written communicator.

  • APICS certification is a plus.

Computer Skills:

  • Must be experienced with Microsoft Office Suite to include Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. A strong understanding of Logility, Excel, Oracle and PowerBI is essential.
