Midwest One Bank Vice President & Fiduciary Trust Officer in Iowa
As Vice President & Fiduciary Trust Officer in Dubuque, administers and acquires Personal Trusts, Estates, Conservatorships, Investment Agencies, Financial Powers of Attorney, and Escrows. Manages all aspects of fiduciary accounts, and assists with tax oversight for Dubuque related accounts, as necessary. Communicates with customers of related accounts through effective coordination of actions between supporting administrative and operations staff members.

Reviews account documents to ensure the fulfillment of legal requirements.
Maintains ongoing client contact in order to assess needs and seek out financial objectives.
Reviews and processes incoming client correspondence and mail related to assigned trust accounts.
Processes paperwork to initiate new account relationships/assets in coordination with the trust accounting system.
Reviews account investments on a periodic ongoing basis to monitor performance.
Determining receipt of income or principal cash, and to execute investment and reinvestment of funds.
Approves any expenditures or bills related to client’s accounts.
Reviews and is aware of client’s statements and handles correspondence regarding client’s statements.
Reviews accounts for preparation of tax and informational returns and sends completed tax information to clients.
Prepares required accounting and fee statements as required by the Court, through a coordinated effort in working with attorneys and/or customers.
Leads and participates in Trust relationship efforts and overall account management.
Works in collaboration with the Business Development trust leader to ensure the execution of closing on new business relationships.
Promotes and sells new business through proactive development of relationships with assigned accounts and target growth markets for Dubuque Trust.
Develops and produces Trust customer correspondence, follow-up calls, and ongoing business development plans.
Assists in the development of enhancements which increases the Trust team’s ability to deliver service and bring in additional business to the Trust department.
Establishes and maintains relationships with key community contacts which enhance business development for the company with a specific focus on Trust.
Participates in call blitzes, sales meetings, profiling of customers and prospects, business development calls, referrals, tracking, submittal of reports, etc.
Refers to other lines of business outside of own expertise: private banking, home mortgage, investment services, retail and commercial banking.
Attends, and may participate in special bank functions or programs.
Serves as a member of the Trust Committee and any additional assigned committee roles.
Participates in community activities in order to enhance overall marketing efforts of the department and bank.
Recommends changes or enhancement in procedures for the department.
Juris Doctor and/or CPA degree preferred.
Prior experience in a bank trust department or professional practice with emphasis in tax, estate planning, fiduciary, and probate law and tax, preferred; 5-10 years preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Strong working knowledge of fiduciary services and fiduciary taxes are both necessary.
