This position is eligible for a flexible work schedule arrangement at the present time. The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes and remains subject to change.
As an Administrative Assistant for John Deere Financial located in Johnston, IA, you will:
Schedule meetings, coordinate travel arrangements, and maintain appointment calendars on behalf of department managers or supervisors; may coordinate meeting amenities (i.e. refreshments, etc.).
Research, resolve and respond to inquiries/concerns from internal and/or external customers. Escalate complex issues for resolution as appropriate.
Gather, create, maintain and/or summarize potentially sensitive or confidential data from various sources in order to complete reports and special projects and/or provide timely information to various customers. Distribute information as appropriate to department members or internal/external customers.
Update and maintain databases, systems applications or files to ensure accurate and current information is available for use by others. May develop and maintain more complex web sites with the assistance of basic web-publishing software applications.
Receive and refer visitors and telephone callers within the department, which may require referring calls to different divisions, countries, or companies in multiple languages.
May organize/maintain records of supervisor's or others' projects and correspondence, following up on pending items; may facilitate/organize workflow through the supervisor's office, ensuring follow-up items are addressed.
May create and maintain sensitive department records; use data to prepare letters and memoranda at the direction of the supervisor or for supervisor's signature, and prepare documents for distribution.

What Skills You Need
Clerical expertise (examples: typing, collating, filing, stenography, etc.)
Helpful and assertive
Knowledge of how to operate standard office equipment (examples: photocopier, fax machine, telephone)
Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office plus intranet and internet functions
Knowledge of expense reporting and purchase orders, etc.
High level of attention to detail and accuracy
Great organization, communication and people skills
What Makes You Stand Out
- Knowledge of internal systems, i.e. SAP, John Deere Supply Network (JDSN), e- billing systems such as ONIT, travel management platforms such as CWT, etc.
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
College degree or 3 or more years of relevant work experience
