ChildServe is seeking an Administrative Fellow whose passion is to become a leader in the healthcare industry. ChildServe's Administrative Fellowship Program is a 12 month learning experience dedicated to preparing new professionals for future healthcare career success. Fellows will work closely with the leadership team throughout the program on strategic projects that further the organization's mission and vision. Fellows will have exposure to the executive team and board of directors through mentorship, project work, and meetings. The fellowship consists of core rotations in areas such as Administration, Clinical Operations, Finance, Quality, and Human Resources. Fellows will spend time shadowing and working on projects with key leaders in each of the rotations to gain perspective on day-to-day operations and decisions faced by healthcare leaders. Please note that as part of our selection process, a virtual interview may be included for candidates selected to advance in consideration of the fellowship position. Invitations for interview will be extended after the close date of October 14, 2022.We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for individuals participating in the Administrative Fellowship Program.
What You'll Do
Process Improvement – Lead and support process improvement initiatives. Collaborate with management to identify opportunities for improvement.
Project Support – Work on special projects as assigned, providing strategic guidance based on analysis of relevant data.
Leadership – Collaborate with ChildServe leadership through project work, administrative tasks and occasional meetings. Attend board meetings, provide support to other members of the leadership team as assigned, and complete other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need
Recent graduate (2020 - 2022) of a master's degree in Healthcare Administration program or be on schedule to complete the degree before the fellowship start date in June/July 2023
Have health care industry experience such as an internship or applicable employment
Possess broad knowledge of current and historical perspectives on health care strategy, business management and administration, clinical practice management, clinical research and education, hospital administration and management, finance, human resources and organizational development, information systems, and managed care
An ability to maintain positive working relationships and demonstrate sensitivity to, and respect for, a diverse population
Demonstration of proficient organizational and time management skills with developed problem solving skills and decision-making, and ability to prioritize multiple demands
Computer skills including Microsoft Office, and ability to proficiently learn new software programs.
Ability to interpret and follow applicable policies, procedures, and regulations
Ability to communicate in English effectively for understanding, in writing and verbally
